- The Richard Dutcher papers (1988-2012) consist of materials related to the production of his motion picture films. Historical Note
Richard Alan Dutcher was born in 1964 in Oak Park, Illinois. He graduated with a film degree from Brigham Young University in 1988. Dutcher became an independent filmaker who pioneered the Latter-day Saint movie industry and produces, writes, directs, edits, and frequently stars in his films.
