R. McGreggor Cawley papers, 1971-2015

Robert McGreggor Cawley received his MA and Ph.D. in Political Science at Colorado State University. In 1983 he became an assistant professor in Political Science at the University of Montana. He joined the University of Wyoming, Political Science Department in 1987, heading the department from 1993-1995 and from 1998-2001. He also worked in the School of Environmental and Natural Resources and the American Studies program at the University of Wyoming. He wrote “Federal Land, Western Anger: The Sagebrush Rebellion and Environmental Politics” (based on his dissertation) and coedited “A Wolf in the Garden: The Land Rights Movement and the New Environmental Debate.”
