Biographical Note
Lander Enock Bjork (January 16, 1885-April 29, 1953) owned the Ballard Concrete Products company. He was originally from Polk County Minnesota and came to Seattle in 1904. His father was born in Sweden and his mother born in Norway. He worked as a shingle weaver before he founded the concrete company in 1945. His wife Signe continued to run the company after his death in 1953.
Content Description
Photographs of the Ballard Concrete Products Company building located at 1545 Ballard Way in Seattle, operations, and personnel. Included in the collection is a photograph of three people in front of the building who are probably Lander Bjork, the owner, his wife Signe, and a worker at the company.
