Biographical Note

Craig Gorder was born in 1952 and was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He began ski racing in his junior high school years and continued with a successful international career which ended in 1975. During this time he earned many awards and recognition, racing for the U.S. Ski Team and professionally; he was also named to the U.S. Olympic Ski Team.

Content Description

The Craig Gorder papers (1961-1975) contain a myriad of news clippings, articles, news releases, letters of recognition, personal letters, pamphlets, brochures and ski magazines pertaining to the life and skiing career of Craig Gorder. Folders 1-2 contain personal letters written to Gorder by colleagues and the U.S. Ski Team. Folders 3-7 contain various news articles that reflect portions of significant events in Gorder's career.
