Carol O'Connor papers, 1903-2002

Carol O’Connor joined the history department faculty in 1977 after having earned her doctorate degree from Yale University in 1976. Dr. O’Connor received her undergraduate degree from New York’s Manhattanville College in 1967. In addition to teaching responsibilities, Dr. O’Connor was extensively involved in women and gender studies and in directing the department’s graduate program from 1988 to 1999. In 2002, along with her husband, co-author and history department colleague Clyde Milner II, Dr. O’Connor relocated to Arkansas State University, where she has served as dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
