Content Description

A small collection of research files relating to Bellingham (Washington) history, donated by Dean Kahn, a long-time reporter, editor, and columnist for the Bellingham Herald newspaper, who retired in 2016. Materials include a subject file on reporter, historian and poet Frank Teck, as well as files on a skeleton found at the GP (Georgia-Pacific) plant, and about the removal of President Charles Fisher from the Bellingham Normal School. The collection also includes a copy of the Bellingham Herald's October 2003 publication "Bellingham Centennial: Celebrating Our History", and a framed front page of the Bellingham Herald from June 11, 1999, with headlines about the Whatcom Creek pipeline explosion.
