Subseries 1 includes photographs of activities within Indigenous communities’ healthcare clinics across the Pacific Northwest.

Subseries 2 includes the work and events of the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission (CRITFC), a fishery resource for the treaty tribes of the Columbia River. Under the treaty, The Nez Perce Tribe, Warm Springs Reservation Tribe, and Umatilla Indian Reservation Tribe, have the right to fish in the Columbia River. The series shows meetings, conferences, and environmental monitoring that are working to protect these rights. There is also a lot of content showing the Commission's "Salmon Corps" which was a youth training group that worked to protect Salmon habitat. They are shown planting trees, creating banks, working with fish populations, and collecting environmental data.

Subseries 3 includes various committee and council meetings supporting and voicing Indigenous community interests. The materials document the work of treaty councils, natural resource councils, and general youth/identity seminars.

Subseries 4 includes events held by a combination of Indigenous communities around the Pacific Northwest as opposed to a specific tribal group. This includes state native cultural days, history events, and art or music festivals. Most notably there are pictures of the Wild Salmon Festival in Portland spanning 13 years.

Subseries 5 includes events held by the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community which includes over 30 tribes and bands from western Oregon, northern California, and southwest Washington. These tribes are the Kalapuya, Molalla, Shasta, Umpqua, Rogue River, Chinook, and Tillamook.

Subseries 6 includes events held by the Klamath Tribes made up of the Klamath, the Modoc, and the Yahooskin-Paiute peoples. They have inhabited the Klamath Basin of Oregon as well as parts of northern California for millennia.

Subseries 7 includes events held by the Nez Perce Tribe, a federally recognized tribe currently based in north-central Idaho, but who have historically inhabited areas throughout the Columbia River Plateau.

Subseries 8 includes events held by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, a community of the Umatilla, Cayuse, and Walla Walla peoples. Historically they have moved from northeastern Oregon to southeastern Washington seasonally.

Subseries 9 includes images of events organized by Indigenous communities within the Wapato Valley which is located along the Columbia in northern Oregon.

Subseries 10 includes events held by the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, a community that includes the Warm Springs, Wasco, and the Paiute peoples residing mostly in eastern Oregon.

Subseries 11 includes events put on by the Yakama Nation which includes the Klickitat, Palus, Wallawalla, Wanapam, Wenatchi, Wishram, and Yakama peoples located in Southern Washington.

Subseries 1 consists of events celebrating and representing African heritage in Portland, OR. Most notably, the materials document over 12 years of the Homowo Festival put on by the Homowo African Arts and Cultural Organization headed by prominent community organizer, Obo Addy.

Subseries 2 showcases various cultural events from Asian and Pacific Islander cultures. The materials include documentation of the Asian Heritage Festival, as well as more specific regional celebrations from China, Korea, Japan, India, Tibet, Samoa, and Hawaii.

Subseries 3 includes celebrations of European heritage and origins with the most prominent events being the Greek Festival, Oktober Fest, Festa Italiana, and St. Patrick's Day. Some of these communities are further represented in less photographed events such as the Wee Bit O'Ireland Celebration, but there are also Polish, Scottish, and Scandinavian events represented.

Subseries 4 documents cultural events that represent more than just one cultural group. Also represented are celebrations of the Caribbean region.

Subseries 5 includes events and celebrations of the Latinx community with a heavy emphasis on different Cinco de Mayo celebrations around Oregon. There are also general Latinx cultural celebrations and Día de Los Muertos represented.

Subseries 1 is made up of photography from events involving art that are not musical in focus. These are mostly visual art fairs and exhibits as well as dance performances and competitions. There is also a book signing and poetry exhibition.
