Historical Note

Thomas Heuterman (1934-), professor of communication at Washington State University, was raised in Wapato, Washington. Heuterman's teaching specialties included public affairs reporting, communication history, and writing (journalism). He also worked closely with students outside the classroom, serving as the newsroom adviser to the student newspaper, the Evergreen.
