Written on verso: Built October, 1894. Ralph and Robert McDonald went to the 5th grade [illegible] in 1897. Miss Residorf was the teacher. Mrs. Peterson's store on the right and Phil Stuart's home between hall and store.
One of the two classrooms at Green Lake School was temporarily held at I.O.G.T. Hall (http://www.historylink.org/File/1728).
The organization was originally named Independent Order of Good Templars and changed its name to "International" in 1906.

Written on verso: These were the first buildings built at Green Lake. The last one was torn down in 1914. E. 72nd & Green Lake Way was across from Greek Lake State Bank.
