Historical Note
Jonathan Eldridge (1909-1973) was a radio communications pioneer and execute at ITT Worldcom. He was in charge of ITT’s public relations activities at Cape Kennedy. Eldridge worked on the 1965 Gemini program, and he was present for the program’s first live television broadcast. He was also the author of over 200 published short stories and articles as well as 26 television plays. Eldridge received the Veteran Wireless Operators Association Marconi Memorial Gold Medal in 1960.

Collection contains biographical information; medals and certificates; newspaper clippings on Eldridge’s career; a scrapbook; a sketch of Eldridge; photographs; correspondence; a ham radio logbook; NASA press passes for Apollo 5 and other memorabilia; and speeches given by Eldridge.
