The Department of Child Psychiatry was founded in 1949 by Leonard H. Tabaroff. From 1968 to 1976, joint programs were undertaken with Primary Children's Hospital. During the period covered by these records, Leonard H. Tabaraoff, Merritt H. Egan, Paul L. Whitehead, and Claudia K. Berenson served as department chair. This collection contains correspondence, grant reports, meeting minutes, and other reports pertaining to the operation of the department. Also included is information pertaining to the Leonard H. Tabaroff Lecture Series (1962-1982).
