Historical Note
The Geology Department at Central Washington University was established in 1970. Prior to that date the Department was part of the Science and Mathematics program from 1937 to 1962 and the Arts and Sciences Program from 1963 to 1969.
Content Description
Many of the reports in this collection were authored by Robert D. Bentley.
Historical Background
Central Washington University began as the Washington State Normal School in 1891. In 1937, the school was rechristened the Central Washington College of Education. In 1961, the school became Central Washington State College and, finally, in 1977, Central Washington University.
