Historical Note

Clyde Forsythe was an artist based in California. He was one of the first painters to specialize in desert painting. Forsythe moved to the West with a growing number of fellow desert painters where he not only painted the landscape, but also lived amongst it, residing in ghost towns. Forsythe is credited as one of the pioneer painters to attract national attention towards the deserts of the Southwest.
