Content Description
The Utah State University Botanical Center records include materials about the center's creation, management, and relocation. This collection includes reports, promotional materials, and assorted files. A majority of the collection concerns the Botanical Center's relocating from Farmington to Kaysville during the late 1990s to early 2000.
Historical Note
The Utah State University (USU) Botanical Center was started in 1954 by a group of USU horticulturalists. The Botanical Center, formerly known as the Utah Botanical Center (UBC), was originally located in Farmington, Utah. In the late 1990s, the Botanical Center relocated to Kaysville, Utah, because of the expansion of U.S. Highway 89. A part of USU Extension, the USU Botanical Center offers educational courses and events focused on conservation and sustainability. Learn more about the USU Botanical Center at USU Botanical Center.
