The Women's Resource Center at the University of Utah provides programs and services to students, faculty, and staff to develop individual awareness about gender-based issues and to support persons pursuing educational, career, and personal goals. It also facilitates institutional support for the educational and career advancement of women. During the period covered by these records, Shauna Adix served as director. This collection contains annual reports, correspondence, and memoranda of the Women's Resource Center. Also included are records of two other organizations in which Shauna Adix held leadership positions: HERS/West, a Ford Foundation program for women in higher education of which she served as director from 1974 to 1979, and the Consortium of Utah Women in Higher Education of which she was executive director.
