Biographical Note
Hiroyuki Ichihara was one of the nearly 13,000 Washington State residents of Japanese descent who were incarcerated in relocation centers in the U.S. during World War II. He served as Director of Area D on the Japanese Advisory Council at the Camp Harmony Assembly Center in Puyallup, Washington, from May 1942 to September 1942.

Correspondence, official orders, census and personnel lists of evacuees, curfew roll call log, minutes of daily camp headquarters meetings, and department rosters relating to Ichihara's activities as director of Area D of the Japanese Advisory Council at Puyallup Assembly Center (Camp Harmony), Puyallup, Wash., for Japanese American evacuees during World War II. Includes materials on transfers to Minidoka Relocation Center, Idaho, and Tule Lake Relocation Center, Calif.
