Biographical Note
Professor of Asian Languages and Literature at the University of Washington. Turrell Verl Wylie received his undergraduate and doctoral degrees from the University of Washington. He joined the University Faculty in 1958 where he remained until his death on August 25, 1984. His specialties were the Tibetan language and Inner Asia studies.
