Historical Note

The College of Pharmacy was reorganized to keep the administrative function in step with the growth of the college. On recommendation of the Task Force on Academic Reorganization, appointed by the dean in 1976, five departments were established within the college. The Department of Biochemical Pharmacology and Toxicology is one of them.

Content Description

This collection consists of correspondence, meeting minutes, and general administrative files of the department. A significant portion of the collection includes lecture notes, handouts, and other materials related to classes in pharmacology. Also included are meeting minutes of the Drug Abuse Research Advisory Committee (1975-1979) and correspondence and meeting minutes from the College of Pharmacy predating the founding of the Department of Biochemical Pharmacology and Toxicology.
