Historical Note
Susanna Bransford married a Utah mining engineer, Richard Emery, who later discovered the famed Silver King Mine. Emery became the partner in the mine with Thomas Kearns. Susanna acquired the title of Utah's "Silver Queen," a sobriquet she carried throughout her life. After Emery's death, she married Col. Edwin F. Holmes. Several years after leaving Utah following Holmes' death, she married a Russian count, Engalitschev, and died in Salt Lake City in the 1930s.
