- The Albert and Vera Cuglietta papers (1935-2016) consist of fiftieth anniversary and family reunion materials, along with professional items related to Albert's career with the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad. Albert worked for the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad for almost 50 years and Vera served in the secretarial pool for the Secretary of State from 1963 until 1980 or 1981. They enjoyed traveling to together and photographed many historical sites in Italy, Romania, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Japan, Bali, and Hong Kong.

Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Albert B. Cuglietta was born on March 29, 1919 in Salt Lake City to Joseph and Fortunata Marrelli Cuglietta. Albert was married to Vera Colobella on May 27, 1940. Albert worked for the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad almost 50 years as a carman and served as Local Chairman and Vice President of the Local Carman Union. He was a member of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Vera served in the secretarial pool for the Secretary of State from 1963 until 1980 or 1981.
They enjoyed traveling together and photographed many historical sites in Italy, Romania, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Japan, Bali, and Hong Kong.
