The Luther E. Eggertsen correspondence (1914-1999) contain letters of Luther E. Eggertsen to his sister, Algie Eggertsen Ballif, Kimball Young, his son, Luther E. ("Bud") Eggertsen, and his parents, Lars E. Eggertsen and Annie N. Eggertsen. Luther E. Eggertsen (1893-1974) was a lawyer and worked at various jobs in Portland, Oregon. Part of the collection deals with Eggertsen's overview of the theology of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). Eggertsen was born into a LDS family, but later left the LDS Church.
