The Northwest Yearly Meeting Women's Missionary Union began in the 1940s. It developed into an organization consisting of many local unions operating under an executive group. The purpose of these unions was to unite women in providing aid to missions, both at home and abroad.

Includes WMU/FWMF publications, correspondence, financial records, reports, minutes, and materials from the yearly women's retreat and other events. The geographical areas referenced are mostly Oregon and Washington along with mission fields in Bolivia and Peru. Materials span 1940-2008.

Of note are the WMU Programs and Devotions booklets, "Quaker Waggins," and minutes and materials from FWMF meetings and retreats.

This collection would be especially useful for someone studying women's involvement in religion, church, and missions (particularly NWYM).
