Carl Moser (1897-1961) was born near Yoncalla, Oregon, and educated in Silverton schools. He was a charter member of the American Legion in 1919 and served as commander of the Silverton Legion post, Oregon Department Adjutant, 1924-1942, Oregon Department Commander, 1955, and on various Legion commissions at the national level.
