Elizabeth and Jimmy Miklavcic independent film and dance collection, 1984-2012

Photographs, text histories, and videos from Beth Miklavcic's modern dance performances in Salt Lake City, Utah from 1984 through 1999. Most of the videos take place in black box theaters, but some are outdoor performances from the 1996 Utah Arts Festival.

This experimental piece features shots of a modern dance performance by a female dancer intercut with various shots of natural settings (streams, woods, etc.). The piece is dedicated to Izzy Wagner, and was written, edited, and directed by Beth Miklavcic and features music by the band 3jane.

This mockumentary focuses on a conductor (Jimmy Miklavcic) trying to hold together a crazy band of performers while putting together a concert performance of a music composition that uses bowls of water as musical instruments. Based on an original composition by Jimmy Miklavcic.

"XYZ - A Digital Poem" was written by Elizabeth Miklavcic and explores the social and personal elements of width, height, and depth through poetry, music, movement, and stereographic media. 25 minutes.
