A collection of papers from John C. Jantz (1879-1971) documenting aspects of agricultural conservation practices (relating to wheat farming in particular) in Eastern Washington during the 1930s and 1940s. The Jantz family were residents of Odessa, Washington. The collection includes 1930s correspondence with the Grant County Extension Agent regarding wheat allotment contracts, a copy of a 1944 address to the Odessa Commercial Club, and copies of maps of Columbia River Basin irrigation districts. The collection also contains pamphlets and publications relating to the Columbia River Basin Reclamation project.
