Biographical Note
Environmental and political activist, Skagit County, Washington. Day's primary role was her opposition to Puget Power's proposed nuclear plant in Skagit County in the late 1970's. Helen Day was born on December 13, 1913 and died on May 8, 2000.
Content Description
Biographical features, clippings, notes, studies, publications, slides, tape, films, and other materials primarily related to her opposition to nuclear power plants proposed by Puget Power for the Backus Hill site in Skagit County. Also includes clippings and campaign items of her ally, Cheryl Harrison, as well as some items on other topics; 1969-1999 (bulk ca 1975-1979).
