Biographical Note
Charles N. Strevell was the son of Jason W. Strevell and Elizabeth Butler Kelly. In 1879, Strevell and his family moved to Miles City, Montana. Strevell married Elizabeth Crawford in 1881 in Pontiac, Illinois, and then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. He became well-known for his essay "Dinosauropodes," which was published several times during the 1930s. Strevell was one of the organizers of Strevell-Paterson Hardware Company and was the president for many years before he retired in 1912.
