Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Florence Jones Gould served as an instructor in University of Washington English Department from 1948 to 1951. She became Assistant Professor of English in 1951 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1958. Gould retired from the university in 1971. She received her M.A. in 1931 from University of Oregon where she taught before joining the faculty at UW.

Includes letters written by Florence J. Gould to Robert Gould from 1941 to 1945. Gould served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was stationed at various military posts including Camp Crowder, Missouri and Camp Adair, Oregon.
