The collection consists of 394 black and white mounted and unmounted photographs, cartes de visite, cabinet card photographs, photographic postcards, and tintypes; 10 albums with 1,232 black and white and color snapshots; ephemera such correspondence, certificates, logbooks, diaries, funeral records, labor union membership books, etc. All materials related to Imogene Miller Robbin, her mother's family (Nielsen and Hansen), her father's family (Miller), her husband (John M. "Bud" Robbin), and her husband's family, especially his Aunt and her husband (Emma and Fred MacKenzie). All 1870s to 1970s.
Although most of the collection consists of formal studio portraits or informal snapshots of family members and family groups (many unidentified), there are also images of the Portland Fire Department (1914); Portland Rose Parade (1920); residences in Seattle and elsewhere; open casket funerals. Photographs by Everett, Ballard and other Washington photographers.

Donor: Imogene Miller Robbin: January 1981 and August 28, 1987.
Processing Note
The MacKenzie Family Photograph Collection, PH Coll 32, is possibly the one mentioned in the original inventory as a "remarkable series of photographs of funeral of wife and two daughters of a manufacturer of "piano harp." Subjects are relatives of Fred MacKenzie (husband of Imogene's husband's Aunt Emma Robbin).
Portions of collection were returned to this collection after being transferred to PH Coll 188 Family Portraits in 2013. Portions returned include albums contained in boxes 8, 10, and 11.
