Historical NoteReturn to Top
George Ritchey lived in Pullman at least as early as 1897. He apparently worked in a Pullman grain elevator in the 1890's. In 1910, he was a house painter living on Military Hill with his wife and children. His father, William, a carpenter, boarded with him, according to the city directory.
Content DescriptionReturn to Top
The Ritchey glass negatives are of 4x5 and 5x7 size and have been divided into the two groups. They are primarily of the Ritchey family and home, with Pullman and campus views and other views of nearby towns and scenery. Upon receipt prints were made, the negatives numbered and somewhat identified, and a container list compiled. The Lloyd Robbins collection (PC 14) includes photos of George Ritchey at work in a grain elevator in Pullman.
