Donal R. Sparkman, director, 1968-1976. Planning grant received, 1966; operational grants received 1968 (?) for cooperative health care and continuing education programs in Washington and Alaska. Although the U.W. was the grantee for WARMP, it delegated program and policy decisions to a regional advisory board. In 1970, when the RMP law was extendded, primary care and health services delivery were emphasized. From 1973-1976 the Program's goal was to work with health care providers to improve health care for Alaska and Washington citizens "via improved availability, accessibility, acceptability and quality of health care and the containment of health care costs."
