Historical Note

Isabel Miller was heavily involved in the University of Idaho Women's Center and was active in the American Association of University Women. She co-founded the Rural Women's History Project and was a charter member of the Moscow chapter of the National Organization for Women. Miller studied at the University of Idaho and was a National Certified Counselor and recruiter for undergraduate students for Washington State University's College of Liberal Arts. Miller was born in Kansas in 1924 and died in 2016 in Moscow, Idaho.

Administrative Information

Arrangement

Materials were reorganized and refoldered during processing. Materials from various accessions were organized alphabetically, however during processing the larger collection it was determined that it was more efficient to organize materials based upon subject matter. Some material was removed which contained private information and was destroyed. Additionally, two boxes of materials were set aside to be returned to Washington State University for their collection on Isabel Miller.

Acquisition Information

Isabel Miller donated materials related to women's organizations and women's issues to the University of Idaho Library from 1983 through 2009.

Processing Note

Collection was reorganzied and processed by Zoe Stave in 2023.
