Historical NoteReturn to Top
Carl Peterson was a student in Pacific University's Conservatory of Music in the early 1910s. At that time, the Conservatory of Music had the highest enrollment of any program at Pacific University, with over 100 students compared to approximately 60 enrolled in the standard academic college courses. Pacific's Conservatory of Music was active from 1884 through the 1940s, when it was converted to the Department of Music, and then in 1950, to the School of Music.
