Content Description

This collection contains correspondence, memoranda, and reports relating to the administration of academic programs at the University of Utah. The collection consists mainly of the files of the Academic Vice Presidents from 1956 to 1964. Also included are the papers of G. Homer Durham from 1945 to 1952, before he held the Academic Vice President position, and his papers from 1953 to 1955, when his title was Vice President of Education. In 1956, G. Homer Durham was given the title of Academic Vice President. During the period covered by these records, G. Homer Durham served as Education Vice President and Academic Vice President (1953-1960), Sterling M. McMurrin (1960-1961), Daniel J. Dykstra (1961-1963), and Jack Adamson (1963-1965) served as Academic Vice President.
