Biographical NoteReturn to Top

William Carey Jones was born in New York in 1855 and practiced law from 1876 to 1897. He moved to the Territory of Washington in 1887. In 1897, Jones was elected as a Silver Republican to the United States House of Representatives. He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1898, affiliated with the Democratic party. He resumed the practice of law, and died in Spokane in 1927.
