Historical Note
The Campus School, also known as the Model School and the Training School, was an elementary school created in 1899 as part of the State Normal School at New Whatcom (now Western Washington University). Partly intended for training teachers, the school operated until 1967.
Content Description
This collection contains questionnaires completed in 2006 by former students of the Campus School. Some are supplemented with additional correspondence, biographical information, and oral histories. Box 6 contains a compilation of questionnaire responses, photocopies of school rosters, teacher biographies, and information about the Campus School Memories Project, which was undertaken by Special Collections staff in 2006-2007.
