Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Ted Van Arsdol was a journalist in the State of Washington. He was the author and editor of several books on Northwest history and later retired from the Columbian newspaper to live in Vancouver, Washington. He was the grandson of civil engineer Cassius Cash Van Arsdol.

This collection includes correspondence, articles, clippings, research notes, drafts, photographs, and other papers related to published essays by Ted Van Arsdol: "Tri-Cities area"; "Columbia River and aspects of the history of the Pacific Northwest"; "Dateline-Hanford"; "Richland diversification"; "Hanfordthe big secret"; and "Big house on the Columbia."
Amongst Ted Van Arsdol's notes are biographies of Kaiser Engineers, photographs of McNary Dam in the State of Washington, and negatives. Includes newspaper clippings of articles by Van Arsdol.
