Historical Note

Marjories G. Paul (1922-2005) was a civilian who worked as a nurse for the U. S. government in many different arenas. After her graduation from college in 1945, she worked for the World Health Organization in Ethiopia, South America, and Vietnam. In the years up to 1969, she also worked for the USAID (United States Agency for International Development) in Vietnam. After returning to Salt Lake City in 1969, Marjorie G. Paul worked in the hospice field for several different agencies. Her collection is a reflection of a life lived "on the road."
