      From Snoqualmie Valley Historical Museum: Stewart Waldo Swenson (8/3/1909-3/17/1991) studied at Cornish College of the Arts. He was the oldest of seven children of Ralph Johan and Hazel (Stewart) Swensonwho moved to the Snoqualmie Valley in 1920 and founded the Monte Vista dairy above the Weyerhaeuser millsite. Swenson had a sign business in the Snoqualimie Valley, and created oil paintings of the area.
