Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Terada Yoshitaka (1954-) is a researcher and professor in the field of ethnomusicology. He earned his PhD in Ethnomusicology from the University of Washington in 1992. Since 1996, he has worked at the National Museum of Ethnology in Japan where he is currently Professor and Director of the Department of Advanced Studies in Anthropology. Yoshitaka's research interests include performing arts in Asia and the potential of performing arts to create a convivial society. Throughout his career, he has published a variety of papers and given presentations around the world.
