THE 1978 AMERICAN OLD TIME MUSIC FESTIVAL
This year's festival features The Strange Creek Trio, whose repertoire consists mainly of traditional bluegrass and old time string band music, with Mike Seeger, Alice Gerrard and Tracy Schwarz. Also. Trio Lydia Mendoza, with the only woman to make a name for herself in the realm of Texas-Mexican border music, known as "musica 'nortena. Finally, Sweet Honey in the Rock, a group of four Black women singing a cappella orglnal and traditonal songs, including children's game songs, prison songs of the rural South, gospel, blues, and sociopolitical statements.
