Historical Note

Rick Reese grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he spent countless hours climbing with friends in the Wasatch Mountains. He was a climbing ranger in Grand Teton National Park in the 1960s, was director of Community Relations at the University of Utah, director of the Yellowstone Institute, and founded the Greater Yellowstone Coalition. He is currently co-chair of the Bonneville Shoreline preservation group.
