Biographical Note

Botanist, publisher, and editor.

Amos Heller was born in 1867. Through his work as a botanist he was the compiler of "Catalogue of North American Plants," 1890 (2nd edition, 1900); and editor and publisher of "Muhlenbergia, Journal of Botany," published at Chico, California. He was on the faculty at the University of Nevada, Reno, California, ca. 1911-1912. He worked in Nevada and California. See v. 9, Who's Who, p. 1124.
