Historical Note
The Idaho State Employees Association (ISEA) was founded in 1959 to advocate for state employees on labor related issues. They changed their name to the Idaho Public Employees Association (IPEA) in 1974. As a nonprofit member-driven organization representing active and retired members from every department in state government in the State of Idaho, the IPEA advocated for members' rights. They took on issues of workers pay, benefits and rights, as well as the benefits and rights of retired public employees. The IPEA was dissolved in 2020.
Content Description
This collection consists of Idaho Public Employees Association, University of Idaho Chapter records. The records include meeting minutes, membership information,correspondence, newspaper clippings and general state association information. Additionally, there are three binders with information for members of the IPEA general council. Materials from one of the binders was removed and placed into two acid free folders. The front of this binder was removed and added to the folder because it has the ISEA insignia. Also, one folder initially titled "ISEA" was changed to "Correspondence" to better reflect the contents of the folder.

Processing Note
This collection was originally processed as the Idaho Public Employees Association, University of Idaho Chapter records, due to further assessment of the collection done in 2021, it was realized that all the materials in the collection relate to the the Idaho State Employees Association. The title was changed to better reflect the materials in the collection.
