Reports, conference papers, writings and speeches, correspondence, clippings, publications, subject series; 1938-1982 (bulk 1972-1980).

Includes United Nations working documents, reports, and drafts as collected by Walter V. Yonker, Executive Vice President, Association of Pacific Fisheries, located in Seattle, Washington. He was involved with the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of the Sea-Bed and the Ocean Floor Beyond the Limits of National Jurisprudence and the collection includes his hand-written notes from the 1970's.

The collection was assembled as a reference resource for University of Washington law students in Condon Hall. William T. Burke, a professor of law, and Warren S. Wooster, a professor emeritus with the Institute for Marine Science, collaborated on the creation of the collection. Wooster, also served as an expert in the U.S. Delegation for the Third United Nations Conference of the Law of the Sea and his correspondence is included in the collection.
