- Collection consists of photocopy newspaper articles written by Edward Daniel Kingsley, regarding preparation for life in the Alaska gold rush; biographical and genealogical information; a will, death certificate, and birth certificate for George Archibald Kingsley; and miscellaneous documents relating to Kingsley family members. Edward D. Kingsley (1868-1940), originally from Illinois, came to Portland, Oregon, in 1900. In 1902, he organized West Oregon Lumber Company. In 1835, he established Kingsley Lumber Company in Linnton.
