Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Rimantas Dichavičius was born in 1937 in Lithuania. He studied at the Department of Graphic Art and graduated in 1963 from Vilniaus Dailės akademija (Vilnius Academy of Art). He has had exhibitions all throughout the Soviet Union and in the United States and other foreign countries. His work has been published in many countries.

Photograph of the opening for an exhibit of Rimantas Dichavičius, in Moscow 1989. Dichavičius is speaking to American Ambassador, Jack Metlock. The exhibit was considered historic because no other exhibit of nudes had ever been allowed in the USSR. The photograph is autographed by Ambassador Metlock.
