Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Nathan Fasten (1887-1953) served as Assistant Professor of Zoology at UW from 1914 to 1920. After being head of the Department of Zoology at Oregon State College, he returned to the UW campus in 1945 where he was employed by the State Water Pollution Commission until his death. His special field was invertebrate zoology and Fasten was responsible for teaching "Invertebrate Morphology" at the University's Puget Sound Biological Station, Friday Harbor, in the summers of 1915, 1916, and 1920.
