Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Lisa Kranseler is committed to building partnerships and developing public awareness about Jewish communities in Washington State. Born in Queens, New York, Lisa grew up in New City, New York, in Rockland County. In 1984, Lisa received a Bachelor of Economics degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, passing the CPA exam. A few years later, Lisa graduated from the Bentley University Graduate School of Business. In 2006, Lisa received her certificate in Museum Studies at the University of Washington. That same year, Lisa became the Executive Director of the Washington State Historical Society. She has served on the board of the Association of King County Historical Organizations for over six years, received the Gus Norwood Volunteer Scholarship from the Washington Museum Association, won a fellowship from the Council of American Jewish Museum Association, and was awarded a grant by the American Association of State and Local History for Project Management at the Washington State History Museum.
