This collection consists of papers and photographs collected and created by Lora Stout McQueen. Most of the material relates to her cousin, aviator Clyde Pangborn, and to the Pangborn and Lamb families. It includes newspaper clippings, photographs, telegrams, a small amount of correspondence, miscellaneous manuscripts written by Lora McQueen, and genealogical information.
The papers were found at Lora McQueen's home in Walla Walla by Otis Clarke, the executor of her estate, after her death in 1980. Clarke's friend, Emil Leitz, later obtained the papers, and added descriptions, interpretation, and genealogical documentation to the collection.
